This is sad but so expressively written.  I've always seen the heartbreak of Edward in that forest scene as well as Bella's.  This describes that heartbreak from both sides and how they both end up on forest floor.  Wow!  Thank you for sharing even if you didn't think it was so good.

I don't get the last sentence- but it an emotional piece of writing and you convey an aspect of Edward's character... thank you for writing.

This is such a sad moment! We have all cried over what happened to both Edward and Bella. This just tore my heart again. You show how deep Edward's agony was. Your last line is so powerful!

Well. If you have ever lost a true love, or suffered a severe loss or death of a loved one....This pretty well sums it up. And the feelings last a good long time. I think you got it right, and hope it is not from personal experience. It is not a bad piece. But it is sad.

Excellent! I’ve not read much poetry but this little thing has power! So parallel, different, yet the same. “Her” then “Him”… “this” then “that…all the right visuals and rhythms to start simply and end so strongly. It is such a perfect encapsulation of that excruciating moment, I’d frame it and hang it on my wall.
